TIMOTHY RICHARDSON
Director of Bands
Timothy Richardson is a native of Dallas, Texas. He has served students in the band capacity for over 15 years as a student and a professional. He has performed in many bowl games as a student, including the Super Bowl. Mr. Richardson strives to inspire students to be the best versions of themselves. He enjoys creating musical moments as well as seeing the musical growth of students. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his loving family.
GARRETT SHAW
Assistant Director of Bands
“Garrett Shaw is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and holds a Masters in Music from Sam Houston State University. He has worked and performed in several capacities in the world of music. Mr. Shaw has performed with the PVAMU Marching Storm, SHSU Orchestra, recorded a new album with the SHSU Jazz Band and has even performed with Solange. He recently held the position as Adjunct Instructor of Trombone at Texas Southern University. Mr. Shaw is also a frequent freelancing performer in the Greater Houston Area. He enjoys playing trombone, teaching, anime and spending time with his family.”
